Flicker at Dusk/ Write a Scene
Consider using photographs or paintings to write a scene. Choose something that evokes a specific feeling for you, and write a few paragraphs. I chose this painting of the flicker at dusk. For me, I feel a sense of peace, settling in, thoughtfulness. What do you hear? What does the air smell like?
Looking through your old photos ignites stories that have been stored in your memory. Perhaps it’s time to shake a few loose and spill them onto the page. Remember to include five senses to enrich your story.
