Writing Tip Weekly/ Writing on a Schedule
When getting your story onto the page, sometimes the ideas spill out faster than you can type. The advice most often heard is keep going. Get as much of your idea as possible written down. Some people write out the entire first draft that way.
But what if the ideas aren’t flowing? Some writers have a time set aside to write. Parents sometimes start writing at 5AM just to get in a few hours before the kids wake up. This is impressive.
A set time to write may not coincide with your rush of brilliance. For me, I find that I can shake the creative tree by editing the last few pages of my previous writing session. This fires me back into the story. By the time I’v e finished, ideas are lined up at the starting gate.
